The Street Vendors

This piece inspired a documentary that is now required viewing for the NYU Film School. Filmed in LA as a class project, it includes part of a quartet composition that is inspired by hawker calls of the vendors of downtown Los Angeles. It involves the composer, the "illegal" street vendors form Central America and policemen. It's a complex mix of weaving art, politics, law, and culture into a whole package.
